In his first start since winning the Spanish Open in October, Jon Rahm again claimed victory on the European Tour. His win at the DP World Championship in Dubai marked the second time in the last three years that he's won the season-ending event. This go round, the stakes were even higher as the victory would lock Rahm into the top spot in the season-long Race to Dubai. Rahm took home a purse of $5 million for the win ($3 million for the DP World Championship and an additional $2 million for the Race to Dubai).

Rahm carried a full TaylorMade bag, including 14 clubs and the TP5 golf ball.

Staying true to his aggressive nature, Rahm used his M5 driver as a "weapon" as he attacked the Earth course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates - closing with four rounds in the 60s (the only player in the field to accomplish such), including a gritty final round 68.

Rahm began that final round by making 142 feet of putts through the first six holes with his Spider X. The masterful putting display helped push his lead to six strokes as he a carded an outward nine of 33. However, the game of golf giveth and taketh away, as it tends to do. A short rough stretch brough Rahm back to the field and required him to deliver the goods on the final three holes.

In his post round interview Rahm summoned the words of one of golf's legends, who in closing an Open Championship at Muirfield once stated "I knew if I went 3-4-4, I win the tournament." Rahm knew that scores of 4-3-4 would be enough to etch his name in the history books.

After succesfully navigating the par-4 16th and the long par-3 17th, Rahm came to the par-5 18th hole needing a birdie to win.

"Man, you dream of making birdies on 18 to win a tournament," said Rahm.

The week prior to traveling to Dubai, Rahm paid a visit to The Kingdom where he tested a new Milled Grind 2 60° wedge that went into the bag. As the new wedge to took center stage, Rahm made the bunker shot look routine - trumbling the ball down to 4 feet before draining the putt for the win.

The win moved Rahm to No. 3 in the Official World Golf Rankings and made him the only the second Spaniard to win the Race to Dubai - following in the footsteps of the great Seve Ballesteros.

Currently, the Top 4 players in the world now trust and use TaylorMade M5 and M6 drivers featuring Speed Injected Twist Face technology. Three of those players all choose TaylorMade's 5-layer TP5 and TP5x golf balls.

Great write up @TonyStarks - What an impressive week and win for Rahm. It's amazing that he was at the kingdom testing wedges and selecting one for this tournament, not knowing exactly how much he would need it on 18.
