WITB - The Clubs Matthew Wolff Used to Win the 3M Open | TaylorMade Golf

Well, that didn't take long.

In just his fourth start since turning pro, Team TaylorMade staffer Matthew Wolff has captured his first victory on Tour following a thrilling Sunday finish at the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.

Wolff, 20, sat on the 54-hole co-lead (along with fellow Team TM staffer Collin Morikawa) and provided the fireworks down the stretch.

Sitting just off the green on the 72nd hole, Wolff needed a birdie to tie the clubhouse lead and an eagle to take the outright lead. Moments later, he rolled in the winning, 26-foot putt from just off the green with his Spider X putter

He let out a triumphant fist pump, acknowledging the Minnesota crowds. It's a moment anyone watching won't soon forget and the high point for a career that's already been full of them.

Wolff recently switched from M6 driver to M5 driver (8°) and used his unique swing and prodigious length off the tee to help get the job done. He ranked 21st in Strokes Gained-Off the Tee and first in Strokes Gained-Tee to Green this week.

In another change to his bag, Wolff added an M5 fairway (15°).

Wolff's calling card has always been his supreme ballstriking. This week he showed just how good he can be with his scoring clubs. He finished second in Strokes Gained-Approach the Green (picking up +9.450 stokes on the field over the week) and was tied for sixth in greens in regulation, hitting just over 83% of the putting surfaces at TPC Twin Cities. Wolff touted a set of P750 Tour Proto Irons (4-PW) and a trio of Milled Grind Raw Wedges (52°, 56° & 60°).

Here's what was in Wolff's winning bag this week:

M5 Driver | 8° | Graphite Design AD-TP 7TX

M5 Fairway | 15° | Graphite Design BB 8X

P760 2-Iron | Nippon N.S. Pro Tour 130X

P750 Tour Proto Irons | 4-PW | Nippon N.S. Pro Tour 130X

Milled Grind Raw Wedges | 52°, 56° & 60° (bent to 62°) | True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100

Spider X Putter | Single Bend 33'' | KBS CT Tour

That putt on 18 to seal the deal was ridiculous. Such a huge moment to step up and rise above the pressure. Colin gave it a great run as well, that lip out biridie a few holes earlier was absolutely brutal. We all felt for him on that one.
