I've tested both balls on a LM. The main differences I notice were feel and peak height. The balls had similar spin and distance on most shots. Once I got to shots around the green (50 yards and in) did the softer feel of the TP5's softness make it feel more responsive but a well executed shot with either ball ended up with a good result. I don't produce very high spin due to my shallow angle of attack so I came to realize the higher launch and flight of the TP5x, even with its slightly lower spin, was the better ball for my game. The TP5x has become a very predictable golf ball for me. The height it flies helps stop the ball close to its pitchmark. In short game situations, the ball has enough grab that I can play the low spinner or lob shots confidently.
